Parents can ask to withdraw their child from all or part of the RE curriculum and/or from acts of collective worship.
Please contact the headteacher to inform them of your request. You do not need to provide a reason for the withdrawal.
School will ensure that a withdrawn child is supervised during the time they are not participating in RE or collective worship.
School is not required to provide extra teaching or incur extra costs for a child who is withdrawn.
You cannot withdraw your child from any other National Curriculum subject, even if it includes topics about religion.
